about
Eye of the Storm is warning of dwelling on the past, becoming consumed by things you cannot change.
The original concept was written by 18-year-old Carys Hughes, who worked with her twin sister Keeley to produce their distinctive dreamy angelic harmonies, backed by a gentle piano riffs and graceful synthesizer pads programmed and produced by Mike Guy.
lyrics
Don’t backtrack don’t look at it, the past is closer than you know
Move faster try to outrun it, don’t wanna get caught up alone
In time, little moments frozen in the snow,
In time, can’t get there anymore
The eye of the storm x2
Don’t backtrack don’t imagine, the past is colder than you know,
uncontrolled don’t stare at it, that mess will swallow you whole
In time, little moments frozen in the snow,
In time, can’t get there anymore
The eye of the storm x2
Got to let you go, gotta let you go before chaos takes hold x2
In time, little moments frozen in the snow,
In time, can’t get there anymore
The eye of the storm x2

Everything sounds better at 72RPM because the control is with the artists...because 72rpm Records is run by the artists.
What else can we say about 72rpm?
..well, it's not quite as fast as 78rpm....which is pretty much how we like it.
Bright, gorgeous, bashing songs from these Belgian shoegazers that never lose track of melody amidst the waves of distortion. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 23, 2023
Meticulously-crafted productions provide the backdrop for haunting, slowly-winding vocals on this gloriously shadowy EP. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 19, 2017
